Abstract:
Corpuslinguisticsuseslargecollectionsofbothspokenandwrittennaturalwordsandtextsthat are
stored on computers. By using a variety of computer-based tools by web data, corpus linguists
can explore different questions about language use. Learners provide an extremely powerful
tool for the analysis of natural language and can provide tremendous insights as to how
language use varies in different situations, such as spoken and written issues represented
byelectronicdatabases:theBritishNationalCorpus(BNC),theMichiganCorpusofAcademic
Spoken English (MICASE) and the Web Corpus. This study investigates the word Algeria
as it is presented in the corpus .The findings and discussion are the primary focus and
The obtained results will be evaluated and discussed in order to make an appropriate
assessment According to data-analyses, the word Algeria is rarely mentioned in English
particularly in academic contexts for a variety of reasons; the lack of the academic and
scientific research Additionally, the French colonialism which played a significant role in
