Résumé:
The objective of this study is the removal of methyl green by commercial bentonite and sodic montmorillonite using adsorption processus. The influence of certain parameters such as contact time, adsorbent amount, and pH of the medium, adsorbate initial concentration and temperature were studied. The results obtained show that contact time is 5 min for commercial bentonite and 15 min for Na-Mt, mass concentration is 15 and 20 mg for commercial bentonite and Na-Mt, the maximum adsorbed amount was around 99 and 96 mg/g for commercial bentonite and Na-Mt, respectively and for pH is 7. The experimental kinetic data are well described by the pseudo-first order model and the adsorption isotherms by the Langmuir model. The thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption processus is spontaneous and exothermic.
