dc.description.abstract The objective of this study is the removal of methylorange by commercial bentonite using adsorption processus. The influence of certain parameters such as contact time, adsorbent amount, pH of the medium, adsorbate initial concentration and temperature were studied. The results obtained show that the maximum adsorbedamountwasaround90 mg/g. The experimental kinetic data are well described by the pseudo-first order model and the adsorption isotherms by the Freundlich model. The thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption processus is spontaneous, exothermic and physical. en_US
