This work aims to find the molecular orbital diagram using permutation group theory
in physics. First of all, we prove that there is an isomorphism between the two groups s_3 and
c_3v. By applying the different elements of group symmetry, we obtain an irreducible
representation whose sum is a well-known linear combination which makes it possible to give
a representation of the molecules of ammonia and trichlorophosphorus |
